Software

We have an experienced development team who work in Delphi, Visual Basic, C# and Crystal Reports. We have a fair number of control libraries and software that we've developed in-house for some of our own projects. We've decided to commercialise some of them and to release them here, on the web, so that you too may benefit from them.

We will be distributing them via various download sites as well, but here is where you will find the most up to date versions of them.

Components and software will be added often, so please check back here regularly. Some will be free. Some will be shareware. In the case of the shareware versions, you can purchase the registered version online, using a credit card. Purchases are done via a secure encrypted connection, so none of your details are visible as they travel across the Internet

Datasource Name (DSN) Management
During development or installation, how many times have you had to fiddle around in the PC's control panel to set up or remove a DSN? These useful little Delphi and ActiveX components allow you to create and manage Datasource Names for some of the more popular database formats, from directly within your source code. Current DSN/database formats supported are:

TextFile Parser
Text File Parser is designed to read, display and help you identify structures within plain vanilla text files. It:

Conversions are to:

° does not require an xBase application or Excel on the desktop. Files are created on the fly.
°° requires the Borland Database Engine (BDE) to create the Paradox table
°°° Does NOT require ADO / ODBC to create / modify / remove the Text DSN. However, it DOES require ADO/ODBC to open/view tables to which the Text DSN refers.

Please check out the help file (Zip file, HTMLHelp format, ~ 485kb) for more information.

Please be aware that the help file is in error with references to VCL and ActiveX versions of an ODBC TextDSN creator. Unfortunately due to web space issues, we've had to bundle these separately. If you purchase the software and are expecting these controls to be in the package, we do apologise for any confusion. Please check out the bundle deals for the TextDSNCreator for inclusive packages and more information.

BitByBit
BitByBit translates raw byte code of any file into the equivalent ASCII and HEX characters; and displays them.

Typically these are system and data files developed over years by in-house programmers. Or they may be client files which you have been asked to read and extract the data.

Since you can print the results you can also draw, write, or even doodle over the results without damaging the original code.

All it requires is a file to examine and a text editor to display the results.

New functionality includes Explorer integration and a most recently used file list.

Installation is as simple as extracting the downloaded zip file to a convenient folder. To uninstall the application, simply delete the folder, that's all there is to it!

A help file is included to walk you through using the program.

BitByBit is a free download. The most recent update (v1.2.034) contains an updated help file, the menu strip has been fixed, and context sensitive help should now work properly too.

ExploreAccess
ExploreAccess analyses an MS Access database and produces a list of statistics and details on the contents. This can then be exported to a text, XML or MS Excel spreadsheet file, which can be used as an aid to debugging, future development and documentation.

ExploreAccess was written for MS Access 200x. It will examine any earlier version of MS Access once that database has been converted to MS Access 2000 format or later (up to Access 2003). A free demo version is available, with some limitations. Some of the information provided by the freeware version application is listed below:

Both versions can send the output to a simple ASCII text file. The output is in fixed column format, which makes further analysis much simpler. The shareware version also provides the following information and capabilities:

The shareware also includes the ability to open another Access database without having to close and re-open the application, as well as enabling you to append the extracted information to an existing output file.

Application Software

GDataPipe
This useful little application's main purpose is to function as a basic Internet proxy server. If you've ever needed to connect some IP addresses:ports to each other, or browse the web (even securely) without installing bloated proxy programs first, then this is the package for you!

The concept behind it is simple. If you have several PCs on a network (LAN) which is connected to the Internet, in most cases that connection would be made through one PC, which acts as a go-between. All the PCs then need to communicate with the rest of the Internet via this one PC.

Due to popular demand, it also includes a Windows NT/2000 Service version. It also includes an HTTP/HTTPS (SSL) web and secure browsing proxy. Use this for regular web browsing as well as secure access to online resources such as banking.
