proud to announce we have also released an ActiveX version of the component
which will allow you to add, configure and remove Text DSNs from your
system using any other language/development environment that supports
ActiveX controls. These include ASP, Borland Delphi, Visual Basic, Borland
C++ Builder, Microsoft Visual C++ and many others. The control is completely
standalone and doesn't require any dependancy files or Visual Basic
runtime libraries.
Since our web hosting space is limited, we have to offer all the downloads separately. Where applicable, if you purchase one of the abovementioned bundles, we will supply you with a download link/decompression password/registration key where necessary for any other parts of that bundle upon confirmation of your order. Some of you may only be interested in the ActiveX version of the software. In this case, simply purchase the VCL (Bundle 1) and you'll be supplied with it anyway. As a developer, how many times have you had to read, analyse and process structured text files? How often do you wish that there was a simple way of looking at, and examining the structure without having to open up another application such as Excel to translate it? Admittedly, if these are fixed format, whilst you can read them easily enough, counting columns is a pain - and did you need to start counting from column 0, or column 1? There are existing utilities already on your workstation which do parts of the job. You can import (some) text files into Excel. Or you can use the ODBC Text File DSN applet to do much the same thing. And if you want to read text files directly using ODBC the ODBC applet used to be essential. |

This application has one purpose - to translate the raw byte code of ANY file (and we mean ANY file) into the equivalent ASCII and HEX characters; and display them. Have you ever been faced with a file which you know has a structure, but even if you opened it in a text or hex editor, it still doesn't make sense? Typically these are system and data files developed over years by in-house programmers. Or they may be client files which you have been asked to read and extract the data. Inevitably you will need to climb into the actual data and see for yourself. That's what this program allows you to do. And since you can print the results you can also draw, write, or even doodle over the results without damaging the original. All it requires is a file to examine and a text editor to display the results. New functionality includes Explorer integration and a most recently used file list. We've also now added support for Unicode, different fonts for displaying output, exporting to Rich Text Format (RTF), codepages and processing of data copied onto the clipboard. Installation is as simple as extracting the downloaded zip file to a convenient folder. To uninstall the application, simply delete the folder, that's all there is to it! This application was developed from a need to document what we'd written and designed in Microsoft Access. It is used to analyse an MS Access database and produce a list of statistics and details on the contents. This can then be exported to a text, XML or MS Excel spreadsheet file, which can be used as an aid to debugging, future development and documentation. ExploreAccess was written for MS Access 200x. It will examine any earlier version of MS Access once that database has been converted to MS Access 2000 format or later (up to Access 2003). A free version is also available, with some limitations. This useful little application's main purpose is to function as a basic Internet proxy server. If you've ever needed to connect one port to another, without installing bloated proxy programs first, then this is the package for you! The concept behind it is simple. If you have several PCs on a network (LAN) which is connected to the Internet, in most cases that connection would be made through one PC, which acts as a go-between. All the PCs then need to communicate with the rest of the Internet via this one PC. Without getting too technical, because of the way the networks have to be set up, the Internet and the LAN are effectively invisible to each other. In order for the "hidden" PCs to be able to "see" the Internet, we need some sort of go-between, or "proxy server" to handle the requests or connections. That's what GDataPipe does.
