This application was developed from a need to document what we'd written and designed in Microsoft Access.

It is used to analyse an MS Access database and produce a list of statistics and details on the contents. This can then be exported to a text, XML or MS Excel spreadsheet file, which can be used as an aid to debugging, future development and documentation.

ExploreAccess was written for MS Access 200x. It will examine any earlier version of MS Access once that database has been converted to MS Access 2000 format or later (up to Access 2003).

Both versions can send the output to a simple ASCII text file. The output is in fixed column format, which makes further analysis much simpler.

The new version includes some more bug fixes, some program flow enhancements, improved data access pages and macros support and a CSV export option.

It also includes the ability to open another database without having to close and re-open the application, as well as enabling you to append the extracted information to an existing output file.
